The CryptoAPI Tools are used to create and verify digital signatures in *.exe, *.cab, *.dll, *.ocx, and script (*js, *.vbs, and *.wsf) files.

CryptoAPI Tools are used to digitally sign files to be used with Microsoft® Authenticode®, and to view and manage certificates, certificate revocation lists (CRLs), and certificate trust lists (CTLs).
