PlateStar.ColorMagnitude (read-only, FilterBand)

The (rough estimate) 1-shot Color magnitude of the star. Do not use for MPC reporting!

Syntax

PlateStar.ColorMagnitude

The property syntax has these parts:

Value (FilterBand)	The (rough estimate) 1-shot Color magnitude of the star. Do not use for MPC reporting!

Remarks

This property is not a Johnson-Cousins band magnitude. It is a pseudo-magnitude which is derived from a linear combination of the red, green and blue planes of a 1-shot color image and the average of whatever magnitudes are available from the selected reference catalog. This is hardly real, but it does serve to help people who are using PinPoint for plate solving by giving them a limiting magnitude of some sort.
