Syntax
Plate.MinimumStarSize [= Integer]
The property syntax has these parts:
Part |
Description |
Value (Integer) |
[advanced] The minimum diameter (pixels) for a star to be detected (default = 2) |
Remarks
This is an advanced property. In most cases, you will not need to change this value, the default will work. If you are having trouble getting plate solving to work, first verify the accuracy of ArcsecPerPixelHoriz and ArcsecPerPixelVert.
If your camera produces "large" stars, you may try to increase this to 4 or even 5. If your camera is high enough resolution, you can try setting this to 2. Setting it to 1 will result in hot pixels being detected as stars.
Legal values range from 1 through 8, default is 2.
