Plate.FitOrder (read-write, Integer)
(advanced) The highest order used for plate solution fitting (0 = auto/highest)
Plate.FitOrder [= Integer]
The property syntax has these parts:
Part | Description |
---|---|
Value (Integer) | (advanced) The highest order used for plate solution fitting (0 = auto/highest) |
Legal values range from 0 (default/auto) through 7. By default (with this property set to 0), PinPoint will use the highest order fit that is practical (up to 4th order), given the number of stars matched between the catalog star collection and the image star collection. You can limit the fit order by setting this property below 4, and allow fit orders greater than 4 by setting it higher than 4. You cannot force a fit of a higher order than is practical given the number of matched stars.
The following table shows the maximum fit order as it relates to the number of matched stars:
# Matched stars | Max. fit order |
---|---|
6-18 | 1 |
19-29 | 2 |
30-44 | 3 |
45-62 | 4 |
63-83 | 5 |
84-107 | 6 |
108 or more3 | 7 |
