Plate.AllSkyApiKey Property

Plate.AllSkyApiKey (read-write, String)

The Astrometry.net API key. Defaults to a generic API key for PinPoint.

Plate.AllSkyApiKey [= String]

The property syntax has these parts:

Value (String)	The Astrometry.net API key. Defaults to a generic API key for PinPoint.

Remarks

This need be set only if the user has his own Astrometry.net API key. If you don't know what this is, you don't need to set it. If you have your own account at Astrometry.net (for other purposes) and wish your PinPoint all-sky solution data to be saved under this account, you can set your own API key. Note, however, that by default PinPoint does not send images to Astrometry.net when it requests all-sky solving of one of its images. It only sends the list of detected stars. Thus the image data saved at Astrometry.net is just a field of dots at the star locations. If the Plate.AllSkyUseImage property is set to True, the actual image is sent to the Asttrometry.net server and is stored there under the account for the given API key.
