Although PinPoint LE comes included with MaxIm DL, you may wish to use the more powerful capabilities of the full version. MaxIm DL supports the full version and adds some extra capabilities. For example, the Information Window will display full catalog information on stars identified in the image.
The full version also includes Visual PinPoint, which can be used for asteroid and supernova discovery and batch processing of images. It can automatically detect asteroids in image sets and generate MPC reports for the observations. For more information, see http://pinpoint.dc3.com
