Setting Up a Field of View Indicator in TheSky

To set up TheSky for FOV rotation support, you must have at least one FOVI listed in the MyFOVIs tab of the Field Of View Indicators window. If you have more than one FOVI listed in MyFOVIs, then only one must be turned on. In addition, FOVIs may be referenced in several ways. To successfully use the FOVI:

For screen-center capture the FOVI must be screen-referenced (red color, see Fig. 3 below), and must be centered (see Fig. 1 below). Do not move the FOVI, instead drag (for TheSky X) or right-click-drag (for TheSky 6) the display to move your target's location under the centered FOVI.
For telescope-location capture, the FOVI must be telescope-referenced (white color, see Fig. 4 below).
